Want your team to represent your country in the Youth World Cup – New York 2026? Here’s how the selection process works and how to prepare.
Who can apply?
The tournament welcomes national selections (U-10 and U-12) from 48 countries. Each team must be formed by players born in the eligible years:
U-10: born in 2016 or 2017
U-12: born in 2014 or 2015
These teams are typically organized by academies, federations, or organizations officially representing their country.
How does selection work?
Organizers evaluate each team based on:
- Competitive level and structure of the selection
- National representation or endorsement
- Experience in international competitions
- Alignment with the tournament’s values: respect, diversity, and fair play
How to apply?
Each participating country will have a president in charge of organizing and leading the national selection. This president will decide which participation package the team will purchase.
